Rx WantBook, LLC
What is Rx WantBook?
Rx WantBook is an electronic commerce, a provider for the Internet Rx MarketPlace,
and it enables suppliers and purchasers to collaborate in the supply chain arena.
Similiar to Amazon®, OverStock® and PriceLine®, Rx WantBook provides e-commerce
for the pharmaceutical industry.
Who is it for?
Rx WantBook is the ultimate pharmacist’s choice for inventory management in the
Internet age, and it is a highly intelligent and automated order management and
customer services solution for suppliers in the Rx marketplace. Rx WantBook is also
the pharmaceutical manufacturers' Internet commerce.
What does it do?
By design, Rx WantBook enables an Internet commerce for suppliers and purchasers
to acquire products at the best available prices from participating suppliers. Rx
WantBook completes order fulfillment by automatically forwarding shortages to a
secondary supplier or other participating suppliers to eliminate lost sales.
What does it costs?
Rx WantBook is available for registered pharmacies as a service for a modest monthly
fee billed through the primary suppliers. The suppliers or sponsors may choose to
subsidise this fee for their customers.
Will it always find the best price available?
Yes. With Rx WantBook, the best price can be attained by comparisons among participating
suppliers' regular inventory as well as overstock. Selections are also made based
on minimum advantage percent, shipping zones, and time zones.
Does it require a special computer or equipment?
Any Internet browser may be used including IE, Firefox, Chrome, or Safari running
on a current store computer. On the server side, Rx WantBook runs on MS Windows-capable
and IBM i5 computers.
How does it work?
Participating suppliers display product availability with or without prices on their
own computer systems. Rx WantBook orchestrates participating suppliers in exchanging
product information together and making them available for purchasers. The purchasers
scan the required products into their Rx WantBook. Rx WantBook accepts the order
data or automatically submits the daily WantBook for order processing, beginning
with purchaser's preferred supplier.
How is it able to exchange data with various data formats?
Rx WantBook employs various expert system technologies, enabling it to recognize
vast data formats including user-defined formats.
How much computing power will it use?
Rx WantBook computing usage is unnoticeable when using its data queue technology
via the i5 and event-driven programming.
Can it process EDI/X12 data?
Yes, Rx WantBook will translate and create standard ANSI X12 documents automatically.
Does it require maintenance?
No. Rx WantBook is self-maintained software. It will even upgrade itself when there
is a newer, better version available.
What makes this any different than any other WantBook?
Current available software provides typical order entry with some fundamental inventory
management functions limiting a singular partnership. Rx WantBook opens up the market
place, helps orchestrate unlimited relationships, and leverages suppliers' services
online.
Is it the Internet ready and are integration require?
Yes, RxWB is an on-line application on the Internet. Integration is done automatically
via our highly intelligent servers; no additional programming is required. This
allows suppliers almost instant participation in the Rx WantBook market.
How does it reduce processing cost and cost of purchasing?
No special hardware or software is required. Rx WantBook runs on your existing pharmacy
computer, receiving the best price and selection without contacting the prospective
suppliers.
Are there any quantifiable data?
While there is not a current statistical study, each and every pharmacist can immediately
recognize the difference after experiencing Rx WantBook for a couple of minutes.
Does it deal with overstock or outdated or slow moving items?
Yes, the suppliers specify the class of inventory and how many are available. They
may choose to disclose or un-disclose item prices for user selection, allowing Rx
WantBook to select the best sources economically while meeting supplier’s requirements.
Some current WantBooks automatically order when an item is sold. What makes Rx WantBook
any better?
Rx WantBook has this capability using predictive computing based on past purchases.
It does not require sales data from the pharmacy system.
